Well we should be back home shortly. I am planning on being home (our house) by the end of March. We have been looking at what renovations we would like to do. We have ripped up the carpet in our main living room and wanted to see what the hardwood floors looked like... well they weren't to bad, but we are going to pick out carpet to put back down. The amount of work we would have to put into making them look nice, plus matching all of the other wood around and we just had a new front door put on last fall... so carpet it is. Jaron and his Dad are going to build a wall in our upstairs bedroom sectioning of an area so we can have a walk in closet. We will have a few other things done, but that should be it.
The other addition that we are looking forward to is Frankie... no not our firstborn, but a Havanese puppy. I'm hoping that he will respond to a new name, but I could accept Frankie. We know several people (mostly family) who have gotten puppies from this breeder and they have been wonderful. Most of all since he is already 6 mths, he is supposedly already potty trained. We are very excited as we have both wanted a dog for as long as we can remember.
Still not sure what the future holds for us yet. This week has been a very trying week and many mixed emotions as we try to step out of our role with no one to step in.
I am growing big and I am amazed at the human body and how it adapts and also new problems! I am experiencing heartburn like I never have. I am just exhausted (what feels like all the time). Clothes are a whole 'nother issue. My feet kill if I'm on them for a while. I have resulted into wearing my sneakers now, and this doesn't always fit the look i'm headed for. Well, after this week, I'm already behind in sleep and tomorrow is a busy day... (today is a busy day.) ~ Jodi

Checkups
Monthly checkups and all still seems well. Still dealing with the occasional bout of morning sickness, very tired. Haven't spent much time figuring out what we will be doing yet. Thanks to Dave Ramsey we have no debt (other than our house) and more than 5 months saved in our "emergency account". I have the possibility of going back to what I was doing before we were here... or could go back to school to get my special education certification. I don't know. Even as we look at creating our timeframe for leaving, there are many things that I could do part time here, plus bring the baby with me. Not much else happening.

New Phases in life
It is amazing to stop and think about all that is actually going on right now. The first change in life most are already aware of and not one we can hide. I still think that I have no idea how much a baby is going to change our lives, yet for the better. We haven't even ever gotten a dog due to how much work that would take for us. Want one, just didn't feel that we could take the time to properly train and spend with it.
The biggest change is that we are leaving Kindred Spirit. After all of the times that we kept saying that this really wasn't for us and the countless times we talked about our resignation, we are actually going to be leaving. Although the final decision wasn't solely from us, I am amazed at how much I have been affected by this plan. Of course changing the stability in life right when we are expecting does bring... oh what's the word? a bit of fright? :) I believe that the plan is to phase out slowly and this will tale us through to the summer. Plus, earlier this year I had already sought out some possibilities for the mean time. Our house is still waiting and we are excited about that freedom and space once again.
Change has never been easy, but for all that we have done here and still don't see this position as described, we are not meant to continue. With just as much apprehension as excitement... we shall see all that God has for us in the future.

Not twins
Well, the ultrasound didn't show two unless the second was hiding very well! :) She did change my date due to the size, but only about a week. So now we are looking at our due date of July 19, 2007. Still fighting morning sickness, but not nearly as bad. Can't tell if it is mixed with something else my body is fighting or what! I am trying to get 3 meals in a day, but some days it just doesn't seem to work!
We are headed to Lansing tomorrow to hear Mark Gunger (sp?) who does the "Laugh your way to a better Marriage" seminar. Should be fun!

Next Appointment
Well, we had our "12 week" appointment and well, Dr. doesn't think something is exactly right... Everything is okay, just said that she thinks that I'm a bit bigger for "my" date. Either we are further along than we already thought (Which would not suprise me since I wasn't really keeping track) or the other option that she hinted at is...2. Jaron has been teasing at this from the beginning, but I've been writing it off as another of his ploys to get my goat. With my extreme discomfort up until this time, we shall see. We are going for an ultrasound on Tuesday. So Tuesday it is. I honestly think that I may just be further along than originally though, but hey who knows! Or there is just the possibility that she was wrong... imagine that a Dr. wrong! :) well that is all my surmising for now! Until then! Jodi

Wondering...
Never really expected that I would be among the women who got sick so much during pregnancy. I feel like I could keel over at any time to just sleep for hours. Jaron has been very supportive although his "Your eating again!" comments make me a little aware to make sure that it is healthy. It has been fun sharing the news and getting responses. Just wish we could stop wondering about our jobs. Really don't know. We don't feel God directing us strongly in either direction. Just wish we knew. Always in HIS timing.

July 25th, 2007
Well, here it is... our announcement! We are expecting a new member to our family this summer! As much as we are thrilled... I am that much sick! After a long weekend of feeling like I had something... we started thinking through symptoms and thought maybe? And here we are! In the midst of trying to make our jobs work... God has allowed us this blessing and know that everything will work. If this is not where we are supposed to be, then we can go from here. We are very excited about expanding our family. I'm not doing any one thing for long lately, something always seems to interrupt, so at this time I bid a good night!
